What we were up to at July's café
It was a lovely sunny Saturday at the URC Meeting halls and we had lots of interesting items brought in for repair. Some highlights below:
Garden tools are always a popular item - we sharpen them and give them a new lease of life. Below you see a pair which had a small nick to the blade that stopped them closing. They left working perfectly.
It's amazing what a needle and thread can do: This month we fixed an apron, a suitcase, and an "armless" teddy!
Other repairs included a leaky watering can, several fans (getting ready for the heatwave!), a balance bike, and a thermocouple with sentimental value.
Have you got anything that needs repair? Don't throw it away, bring it along next month (20th August, 2-5pm) and we'd love to take a look!
